1. Be Respectful: Respect your fellow roleplayers. Do not get an attitude with someone- if you have a problem with the person, contact EnviousAngel, the Admin. Please do try to be nice, and don't insult someone's RP skills if they are not as good as you. Constructive criticism or pointers are allowed if that person asks for it. Just be polite about it.
2. Proper Grammar and Spelling: This is more of a preference, but please, try to keep as literate as possible, even when not roleplaying. That means don't use LMAO or OMG regularly. Occasionally is acceptable. That said, if you post and your reply is complained about for a legitimate reason you'll be asked to edit it.
3. PG-13: Because this host allows minors of 13 and up, you are expected to keep all your posts PG-13 and below. If you break this rule you will be warned and the post modified the first time, and the second time you will be banned for a week, the third time will result in permanent banning.
4. Private Information: You are only allowed to give your OOC account information on this site, when it comes to here. Other social media is not to be shared for mostly your protection, as anyone can access chat, and PMs can be viewed by the Admin and Proboards staff obviously, making it not so private. We apologize for making this rule, but again, we have to make sure this forum is safe for everyone, and make sure no one feels left out.
1. a. You must create an Out Of Character account before you do anything else on the site. This account will be vital when we begin doing awards and it allows us to easily keep up with your characters by the linked accounts.
1. b. Before creating a character you must post in the Hello and Goodbye board to introduce yourself.
2. Please make a new account for every character you make, after you've first created your OOC account.
2. b. Link all of your accounts together by using the same email when you sign up. You'll be asked to re-make an account if you don't, since we use the linked accounts to better keep up with who is active on the board vs accounts for RPing that haven't been used in a while. Otherwise we may delete one of your character accounts and all the posts on accident. (There is a how to in the rules & information board.)
3. You ARE Allowed to have more than one character. But there are some requirements. You can make two right off the bat, but if you want to make a third character you have to have posted 50 RP posts with Characters 1 & 2. Once you've made three you have to have 100 posts with characters 1 & 2 and 25 posts with character 3. The pattern will continue that way, and we're capping it at five characters, max.
4. Don't make a Mary sue/Gary Stu/Pity Character/Attention Seeker: Those are flat out annoying, and if you make one I'll ask you to edit it to make them less so. The Profile should take care of that, hopefully.
5. You're allowed to use Ani-Manga face claims and you are allowed to use your own artwork or someone else's with their permission and proper credit. Either way you go, you must have a face claim.
6. If a character you've posted is unfinished put [W.I.P.] in the title name. Especially if you're going to be gone from the board for a week or so. Otherwise you will come back to find your bio has been moved to the rejected board. (Work In Progress)
7. After your app has been approved, your app will be locked. You are allowed to make changes that are still within the guidelines, but you must ask to do so first, and we will unlock it. It will be then re-approved, locked, and you may continue RPing with said character. This is to ensure no one adds anything which will break the rules, and help us monitor it better.
1. One paragraph, consisting of five good sentences, at least. This is per post. You are NOT allowed to use the asterisk (*) or any other symbols in posts. This will be checked at random intervals.
2. Liquid Time is allowed. To an extent. You can't fast forward a year between two posts, obviously, because the grades move up just like a real school, so a year is a year on here, just not. Everything you do on here sticks with your character like it would with you.
3. Do. Not. Power play: Do not control someone else's character at ANY time without their permission. You will receive a warning the first time, but the second time may result in a 'time-out' from role-playing. Honestly, it just annoys others and makes them not want to Role-play with you. (If someone kills your character or hurts them or 'controls' them without you permission, submit your complaint directly to the admin(EnviousAngel or Sadistic Maiden) by PM, it will be straightened out and can be edited or wiped from your characters record. The person who did it will be dealt with accordingly.)
To prevent cluttering of the board because of inactive accounts or posts on said accounts, we will be enforcing some rules on this matter.
If you post a character application in {W.I.P.} you will have seven days from the last time you actually edited something on it. On the seventh day it will be moved to Abandoned.
Once it's in the Abandoned board you will be given seven days to claim it using your OOC account, which will still be linked to your character's application. On the seventh day, if you have not claimed it, your OOC and your character application will be deleted.
Once something is deleted it is not able to be recovered, whether it's an account, post or otherwise.
