Personality & Appearance
Personality: The first thing that comes to mind when you have to describe Teresa (or 'Tess') is that she's quiet. Not shy; people don't bother her. In fact, she enjoys talking to others quite a bit. But she's very quiet. Oftentimes most people don't even know she's there. She likes to stick to the background no matter where she is, hiding herself away and not bringing attention to herself. Once you're in a conversation with her, you'll find she's quite soft spoken. If the room you're in is too loud, you might not actually be able to hear her.
But despite that, she's very friendly. In conversation she's usually likes to listen instead of doing much talking. Tess prefers it that way, to be the listener instead of the speaker. She's a natural follower, and much of the time you'll see her being dragged along somewhere by one of her friends.
Tess is quite smart and does well in her classes. She's usually somewhere with her nose in a book. Sometimes it's her schoolwork, but oftentimes it's a book of the language she's studying. While she keeps to herself most of the time, she doesn't mind someone interrupting her reading and starting a conversation.
Appearance: Tess has long blonde hair that falls down to her waist. She inherited this from her mother, as well as her blue eyes. She stands at 5'5", slightly taller than her mother but a few inches shorter than her father. Her clothes vary, though she's usually dressed casually in t-shirts and skirts, throwing on longer pants, jackets, scarves, and any other additional layers as it gets colder.

Flaws:
- Languages - Tess has been learning languages ever since she can remember. She knows a total of six and is currently teaching herself a seventh. She loves any opportunity she gets to use those other languages.
- Rain - If it's raining, Teresa is probably outside. She likes the sound, the smell, the feel... she likes to find a place where she can curl up and watch the rain fall.
- Seafood - It's simply her favorite. If you want a few bonus points with her, take her out for seafood.
- Card games - Board games are good too, and while she's not as good at them she likes video games on occasion as well, but card games are her favorite. She's quite good at most of them, provided they don't involve her needing to lie. She has obvious tells that make it hard for her to pull that off.
Dislikes:
- Cold Weather - Warmer months suit her perfectly fine but once it starts getting cold? Tess wraps herself up in several layers and tries to avoid the weather as much as she can.
- Manipulative People - Tess doesn't talk much and lets others take the lead more often than not, but she can still tell when someone's being manipulative. And she doesn't like it. She avoids those sorts of people as best she can.
- Being Rushed - She likes to take her time with anything she does. Tess does not act quickly, which is probably why her friends find themselves dragging her around all the time in an effort to make her move that much quicker.
- Being in front of a crowd - She prefers to stay back and let other people stand at the front of a crowd or make presentations, things of that sort. Getting up in front of a group of people to talk makes her incredibly nervous.
Flaws:
- Follower - Tess lets other people handle pretty much everything when she can. She doesn't make decisions if she can help it; she prefers to let others make the decisions or take the lead and she'll follow suit.
- Bad Liar - Maybe not a flaw at all, depending on how you look at it, but... Tess is a pretty bad liar. Most of the time it's easy to tell when she's lying to you, so she's gotten into the habit of not even bothering. She's just says what she's thinking.
- Absent minded- Tess will, on occasion, walk around the academy and read at the same time. Sometimes she will... 'forget' that she should be paying attention to her surroundings, as well. With her nose in a book, she's gotten into the unfortunate habit of bumping into people and other objects throughout the school. A stream of apologies follow. Even when she bumps into a table in an empty hallway.
- Quiet - Sometimes people don't even know she's in the room with them. Tess not only speaks quietly, but she moves surprisingly silently as well. She hides in the background and tends not to get noticed.
- Stage Fright - Teresa does not do well with crowds. Get her up in front of a larger number of people and she'll get very anxious. She'll talk quietly, then realize no one can hear her, which will make her embarrassed and more nervous because she has to say everything again, and then something else happens and... let's just say she doesn't like it.
History
Teresa's parents met in spain. Her father lived there and worked as a businessman. Her mother was also there on business, though she was from Greece and had come as a translator. They met and went out for drinks after work. Then again a few nights later. Then twice more before her mother left for Greece again. They kept in contact and would see each other once more over the next few months, when her mother went to Greece again. Then, by chance, her father was needed to move to Greece for work. They reconnected and went out for drinks yet again. A few years later, the pair were married.
They also had children. Teresa Vicario is the third child of the Vicario family. Her elder brother and sister, 21 and 20 respectively, were already around when she was born. She was born in Athens, where they all lived, on June 22nd. Teresa's mother had quit her job as a translator to work at a local university after her first child so that she wouldn't have to travel and could be with her family more.
Her mother started teaching her languages from an early age. Tess learned both Greek and English before she started school. Soon enough she was speaking Spanish, with some help from her father as well, who was quite pleased he could help in that regard. By the time she would be sent to Amesti Springs Girls Academy, Tess would speak six languages; Greek, English, Spanish, French, Japanese, and Chinese.
She did well in school. She got along with her classmates but was quiet enough that she had few close friends. Oftentimes she would spend her time with her sibling's friends. As she got older, she spent less time with them and more time with the friends she would make at school.
Her parents would send her older brother and sister to Amesti Springs Boys and Girls Academy, respectively. It would be another two years before they sent her off to the academy herself. Her father thought the academy would give them a good opportunity, Tess especially. It would give her a good opportunity to grow. And perhaps she might become a little less quiet, too.
