| Late was never an option for Nikolai, and so he had arrived a couple minutes early to class with a slight frown on his face when he entered the room after all, in nice cursive handwriting the teacher announced a project that would require the students to work in a partnership. Of course, this wouldn't have been too bad, if it weren't for the fact that she was choosing based on the principle of placing cards on the student's desk, then having them match their fellow peer's card. Last time Nikolai had been paired up with someone well, it had been a disaster... Mentally groaning, he headed up front of the classroom where he normally sat to find the little card tucked in a corner. In all honesty, he hoped that whoever was his partner would be sick so that he could work alone instead of having the chances of working with an jerk.
Settling in his seat, Nikolai passed the very few moments he had before class started dedicated to relax after all, what are the chances of him being paired up with a jerk once more? A lot of his peers in this classroom were on the friendly side while the rest of the few seemed to be a tad on the quiet side so his outcomes were good this time around.
Meanwhile, said teacher seemed to be working on the computer unaware of the environment around here. The option to slip out was there, but Nikolai couldn't bring himself to do so. He would practically be stressed out if he missed as missing meant he would have to do something else during the project. Sucking it up, he just tapped his fingers on his desk as he waited for class to start. He didn't brother removing his messenger bag from his shoulders as he had a feeling he would need to move anyway. | |

Allen slipped into the classroom, a bit early. He liked to be arrive on time and often ended up coming in earlier than other students. And although half of that was out of preference, the other half was because he wasn't interested in hanging around outside of the class to talk to people before his lesson began like others did. Sliding into his seat, he noticed a card on his desk. Glancing up at the front of the classroom he read on the board that they were doing an assignment that required partners. He grimaced, displeased with this turn of events. He didn't like working with anyone on anything. He would end up doing the whole project or at least his half by himself and avoid conferring with his partner unless they were someone he knew didn't piss him off. He stretched out his hand and slid the card closer so he could peer down at it. The card had a 4 on it and Allen almost snorted. Glancing up, he wondered who is randomly fated partner was going to be. He hoped it was one of the idiots who just shoved the work onto him-, so he wouldn't have to deal with working together. Or at least someone who respected his personal space and didn't bother him too much. Allen tapped a finger against the card before sliding it away from him. He looked at the classroom clock, seeing that it was almost time for class to start, and ran a hand through his hair before cupping his cheek. He leaned on it, his elbow resting on the desk as he tried to mentally motivate himself to at least try and look forward to this. ((SORRY THIS TOOK SO LONG OMG. Nikolai Malashonak ))

| Patiently, Nikolai watched the clock as time seemed to march forward at a slower rate, then usual. Perhaps it was due to the fact he wouldn't pry his gaze away or the fact, he just wanted the day to be over with. He couldn't really get himself thoroughly pumped up for the project due to the project he had before and the partner who was a classic dick. Attempting to keep his cool composer, it wasn't long before the class bell went off and the classroom was starting to be filled with students as a couple were late.
As the bell rang, the teacher stood up and did a brief explanation on the English project. The English project was a run of the mill type, all the class really needed to do was create a power point in a couple of days explaining the important of their chosen piece of literature and how it affected life in the United States. The piece could be of their choosing, but had the title of the book had to be turned in at the end of the day. At that, she wandered back to her desk while waving her hand for the students to go find their partner.
Gleeful the project was quite simple, Nikolai gathered up his stuff as he finally took a peek at his card which happened to be a plain number four. Like a few students, he started to wander around the classroom comparing cards and trying to figure out who he would be stuck with on the project. In all honesty, he just wanted to get the work done as quickly as possible, but with enough effort that would give a two the golden A plus as anything below it wasn't an option.
