The soft clicking of Leonardo’s footsteps echoed throughout the nearly empty hallway. There was an errant student rushing to get to their class that he gave a slightly disapproving look at as he continued on his way from his office to the dance room. He held his student list in hand with all the names of his students. The type of students he received were usually the normal type of students, those who needed this class to cover the extracurricular section, those who truly wanted to learn how to dance, and those who came to the class merely because of his reputation and wanting to prove something that is honestly past him. Ah well, it wasn’t his job to understand the minds of his students. His job was to merely teach them how to dance. The fall semester had started and even though most teachers would be quite lenient on the first days or so, he was of a different mindset. He expected his students to be dressed and ready to begin class the moment he entered the room. And to him, it was his job to let them know that. He walked into his classroom the moment the class was supposed to start. He walked up to the center of the room and looked at all of his students. “Good day class. I am Leonardo Blackthorn as you already know by now. You may not call me Leo or Leon, only Mr. Blackthorn. I expect each one of you to be already dressed appropriately for this class before it begins. I will not allow anyone to get dressed during class time. That time shall only be used for the lessons themselves. If you’ve come here thinking you can goof off, please reevaluate your expectations. Now, any questions before we begin?” Leonardo looked around the room at each of his students, waiting for any questions they might have. |
