Personality & Appearance
Personality: Sean is very touchy on the subject of his ex-lover, and will only get angry if you ask about it. Other than that he's very stand-offish and doesn't like to be bothered. He doesn't value himself very much, and only makes sure he eats enough to not die and his appearance stays neat and doesn't change much. He'll be coldly polite to anyone he interacts with, but he's quick to retaliate if he feels slighted in the least. Overall he seems inviting, but his personality can leave much to be desired.
Appearance: Sean has long, blonde hair that stops at about chest-length which he usually lets down, though at home he has a tendency to put it up. His eyes are a very light silvery-blue, almost the color of ice. He’s kind of pale, though only in the winter, since he swims outside in the summer. When he’s not at work wearing his slacks and a white collared shirt he usually wears plain t-shirts loose skinny jeans. He’s not really a fan of bright colors, so his clothes are all darker blues, reds, or blacks.

History
Sean spent his first ten years of his life with his mother mostly, only seeing his dad on the rare occasion that he was home. He didn’t ever understand why his dad chose racing and drinking over him and his mother, but he didn’t feel he had missed anything as when he was around he was always yelling and calling him and his mom names. He also hated all of the other men his father brought around, as they objectified his mother and made fun of her for anything and everything. Due to the horrible nature of all of these men Satou vowed at a young age to never be like his dad or any of his friends.
Within a two year span the yelling escalated into physical abuse and by eleven his mother left his father, who seemed to easily adapt to not having either of them around. He never saw or spoke to his father after that, not even to send or recieve holiday cards. He didn’t miss him either, easily accepting the fact that he and his mother were better off without his father in their lives.
About five months after they’d moved out of the house and into their own he’d found out that his mother was pregnant. She was expecting the baby in about two months, meaning the baby had been conceived while she was still with his dad. Yet, she had told him it wasn’t his. He was angry with his mother, despite how horrible his father was it still hurt him to know his mom had cheated on his dad, and he wondered every day if his dad had known.
After some complications the baby was born soon after, about six weeks early. His mother and Jake, as the baby was named, had to stay in the hospital for three weeks and he was stuck living with his mom’s lover. He hated it because the man would talk to him about how when his mom and brother came home he was taking the baby and leaving, since a faithful woman didn’t deserve his child.
True to his word, the night his mom and brother came home he snuck intot he nursury planning to take Jake and run. However, Sean was waiting in the room and told him he wouldn’t let him have his brother. The man threw him into a wall and tried to run with Jake, but his mom, having heard the commotion, had called the cops. He tried to run on his own, but he was caught by cops with a fake passport and ID, so he went to a federal detention center.
Following the event Sean began to close up. The man had earned him a week in the hospital for stitches and head injury, and he had thought the man was someone who he could trust, someone who would never hurt him. He grew distant and cold, never having dealt with the fact that his mom had cheated, his dad had beat him, and this man had betrayed him. Not in a way that would really help. However, he still showed his mother and little brother that he loved them, albeit in a more subtle way.
The next four years he spent at home were all a big blur. He began to get into fights almost every day, and ended up in the hospital at least once a week. His condition worsened after his mom got re-married to a man that thought she should just kick him out, and he began to quit going home. When his mother noticed he was only home once a week she caught him, begging him to talk to her about it. He refused, not wanting to deal with the man that didn’t want him around. After a while longer like this he got hit by a car. It was a few guys he’d beat up who were driving and he spent a week in a coma as a result. While he was healing his mom tried one more time to ‘fix’ him, sending Psychiatrists and counselors to his hospital room and forcing him to see them. He didn’t talk, predictably, so she resorted to guilt. It only made him worse, since he got angry.
She gave up after a few months of this, convinced there was something more wrong with her son than just the fighting and stealing he’d been doing. She’d had the hope he would open up, but unable to take anymore of her silent, volatile son, she sent him overseas. He was put into a boarding high school that was more like a prison than school, not that there was much difference. Upset and feeling put out because she’d chosen her new family life over him, he spent his last weeks with his group of ‘friends’. When he’d told his group he was leaving they accused him of abandoning them, but he knew he’d had no choice, being only fifteen. He’d grudgingly packed and gotten on the plane. Leaving behind his family, friends… and his whole life. Hoping to use this new school, new country as a chance to start over he decided he wouldn’t fight if he could help it, and that he’d maybe make some real, genuine friends.
However, that fantasy lasted not even a full year. He fell in love right off the bat with an older classmate and it didn’t take long for them to get together. They dated for six months before his boyfriend informed him that he would have to go home and marry someone of his families choosing. Desperately he tried to keep them from leaving, and it seemed they were caving the more they fought about it. However, he awoke one morning to an empty bed and a his lovers silver ring lying on the cool pillow. It was the only indication that he’d lived in the same dorm room as his lover, and as he realized he’d never see his now ex-lover again it felt like a black hole opened up in his chest, sucking the color and light out of everything around him.
He skipped school that day and went swimming at the nearest public pool, forcing himself to only think of the burn as he took lap after lap around the pool. By the time he went home and went to sleep he vowed not to think about it, to pretend it hadn’t ever happened. It worked for years, but the second he graduated he realized that he had nothing to occupy himself with.
He began with a job, working all the time, and looking for a University to go to. He found Amesti quickly, and moved into the dorms as quickly as possible, then he got a job at a local restaurant as a waiter and cook, depending on the night. He made good on tips, enough to pay for what his grants wouldn’t cover and his food.
He filled his days before the semester with work and studying ahead, determined not to think of his ex-lover or estranged family. He had absolutely no hopes to ever fall in love again, he wouldn’t, he refused. He only wanted to remember his blue haired lovers hands, his love. No one elses. To remind himself, even though he didn’t consciously think about it anymore, he never got rid of the silver rings. They were in a small, velvet covered box, hidden in the back of the his bedside table drawer. Really he just wanted to be left alone now, and he can only hope that others will let him be.
