Personality: Heiko is a very non-judgemental, curious and open-minded young man: except when it comes to anything about his subject. Then he is moody, impatient, snappy and sort of rude - in his opinion, HE knows best and is stubborn about changing his mind. People who know nothing about sound systems or PA system setups irk him to no end: he calls people who have no clue 'incompetant' or says that their 'favourite food is their own shoulder' (which is a particularly wayward and very insensitive cuss-down that he will probably need to explain). But, really - Heiko enjoys the fact that he could be the only one who knows. Gives him a little bit of a boost, because if anyone challenged him about these things - he'd likely get tongue-tied and stomp off in a rage of various profanities.
He is very protective over sound equipment and doesn't like 'rookie hands' touching his best speakers. If his lessons were ever practical ones in learning about PA systems; he would probably give his students a poor quality pair to mess around with, rather than trusting them with the high-end stuff. Still, he DOES see potential in his students. Many are very musically gifted. He mainly teaches them how to record their own samples of music, or extract MIDI files from the internet (basic sound files) to produce their own music or mixes. He quite likes listening to his student's work, but doesn't really like lyrics or singing (unless it's particularly sensational).
Unless you're disturbing him while he's working (producing his own music or designing his own sound systems), he likes to chat to people. It will mostly be about himself though, as he's a little self-absorbed sometimes. Still, he'll listen to you and can be quite sensitive when he wants to be. A heavy chain smoker, constantly mood-swaying, unbalanced as it comes - he can either be your best friend or worst nightmare, unless you just enjoy annoying him. It can be pretty funny to see him raging.
Heiko is unafraid of showing his true colours, and expressing himself. He isn't the type to hold back or go shy on people, which is probably why he hasn't had much trouble in being open about his sexuality. He can be a bit of a corny flirt - with some cheesy chat-up lines in the bank ready to be unleashed. The only real way he can have fun and not get completely stressed over it - flirt, flirt and flirt. Sometimes he flirts with women as well when he's drunk, but often abandons them and turns cold if they expect further advances. He just enjoys the attention when intoxicated, and likes to think that he is the most-loved at parties ('cause he supplies the tunes), but that is debatable. Just let him believe it, right?
Appearance: A tall and slender, almost willowy physique but with some extra definition in his arms where he is always carrying heavy equipment (he certainly doesn't see the point in working out). He usually has trouble finding clothes that fit comfortably around the biceps and shoulders, so usually if he's wearing a shirt for work then it will be with a vest to pull in the extra material; also he likes the feel of slimmer-fitting clothes to looser ones. When amongst students he enjoys accentuating his position of authority by wearing a suit, but throughout the day the smartness deteriorates as his stress levels accelerate. He wears glasses but only when working with computers or driving, so you're unlikely to see them on at any other time of the day.
On weekends, he usually wears slim-fitted band tees and slim-fit jeans, but despises drainpipes or jeans which cut off his blood circulation in multiple areas. Sometimes he likes wearing a hat, for a touch of style, or to dip over his face when taking a nap. Heiko has three-inch long, red hair which is usually very messy and he doesn't bother to tidy it; his eyes are a burgundy (red-brown) colour and wing at the edges, giving him a bit of a sharper look.
