A Moment of Clarity
Today, Ritsu felt beyond frustrated with himself. He'd read his journal again, for the longest time, and.... nothing. The memories gave him warmth, but it never clicked for him- and with each growing day, it became more frustrating.
He absolutely adored it, as it reminded him he had someone to care for him, but it also showed how much of a burden he was. How he drove people insane, how he couldn't even recall someone's name... How that most likely broke people's hearts. Hell, it was why he'd been a jerk at first to begin with, so no one would have to deal with him. And having to face what he'd tried to prevent for so long, had become taxing. He needed an escape...
Thus leading him to where he was right now, with a needle in one hand and his journal in the other, as he shook and mentally debated with himself. Someone... someone had given him this a while ago, he knew that- but he couldn't recall why. Maybe he was upset back then, also. Or maybe he bought it. Either way, he knew it to be something that could give him a high. A moment to forget everything... But oh, was he scared.
Still, he refused to sit like this any longer, not with this amount of pain searing through him... So after preparing himself, he injected the drug. He cringed, and a hiss escaped him... but within a few moments, he felt amazing. Everything was moving so... slow-moving, and he felt as if he were on clouds.
... But then he felt something else, something unlocking in his mind... and that's when the real hell began. He actually started to see images, playing before him... At first they were innocent, and replayings of things he'd read in the book-... Ah, the book! These were memories! He smiled, as he watched his friend... The swimming match... Maybe this drug could cure him?
He spoke all too soon, as more images flooded his mind. It hurt, really, and it hurt even worse when the memories hit their most sour points. "P-please... stop," He whispered hoarsely, as he staggered into an alley. He'd come downtown to get away from the people, but now it was terrifying, to see these things by himself. "S-someone, please, fuck...! S-...Seth... Seth..." He curled up, his head throbbing and his vision blurry, as he rocked back and forth.
